Valentine’s Day is a special day that is known for showing your love and appreciation to the people you love. One way to do this is to make or purchase a gift bag for the person you care about. Here are some ideas that can be used for a close friend, family member or significant other on Valentine’s Day as a token of your appreciation and love for them.
Chocolates are the traditional symbol of love on Valentine’s Day when it comes to candy. When you are making your gift bag, purchase a variety of chocolates in the bag such as the small, heart-shaped chocolates and truffles. Even if the chocoloate is not heart-shaped, it is still a small token of your appreciation. If the gift bag is going to be large, you can also put boxes of chocolates that have fillings such as cherry, coconut, caramel and strawberry flavors. Roses are also available that are made of chocolate; you can place one in the gift bag or an entire dozen of chocolate roses along with the gift bag.
When you want to make a gift bag that is true to the heart and personal to your specific relationship, this is your chance to make a scrapbook in a bag. Take pictures that you have of special events that the two of you have attended and have them imprinted on mugs, t-shirts or picture frames. In addition to the pictures, have your favorite romantic saying engraved on an item that can be placed in the bag as well. You can also decorate a picture frame with stubs from movies that the two of you have seen or events that you both have attended that are dear to you.
Love coupons are great ideas, especially if you are short on cash at the moment. You can either purchase cardboard or print some coupons that you make from the computer. If you want to add a personal touch, make the coupons by hand. You can use crayons, colored pencils or paint and cut out different shapes of construction paper to place on the small cardboard coupons. If you decide to use paint, make sure that the paper you use is the same type of consistency as poster so that the paint will not bleed through. Make coupons for hugs, kisses, dinner, a night out or anything special that you know your significant other will enjoy.
